A reimagination of an exhibition booth design
as part of the premier travel retail industry trade conference.
This exhibition space is an elevation of the previous year’s exhibition booth design, by taking the core design elements and reintepreting them in a more impactful way.
The design was inspired by Japanese cultural references relating to the gifting of kashiori—a box of sweet treats traditionally housed in a lacquered box in red and black.
The first design element visitors will encounter is the entranceway called the ‘Red Box’. The bold and dramatic expression of using a parallelogram-shaped space that is filled with the iconic Shiseido Red marks the importance of red in Shiseido’s heritage and product line.
The red accent to the brand pylons creates a cascading effect that extends the space visually, drawing movement down the walkway.

Overall, the concept uses a strategic mix of broad and generous design strokes with subtle yet deeply-meaningful details relating to the brand, so as to demonstrate the theme of combining impactful elements with elegant detailing.
