   ^ This is about right. There are about 1000 people on the market every year. Some are repeats, but they are easily made up for by people who get PhD's & skip the market (e.g. to fulfill an obligation to their home country Central Bank, or who get a job before the market takes place).

   The top schools produce a lot of PhDs, and LRM schools take in very few students (1 to 6 roughly per year, in my opinon). LRM schools have a lot more failures and dropouts, too. Remember that in your calculations.
