Who are the opening acts for Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’? (2024)

After COVID-19 postponed any possible tour plans for her previous albums, Taylor Swift is finally going on tour. Her ‘Eras Tour’ kicks off tonight in Glendale, Arizona, and she’s bringing her most talented friends along with her on stage.

The singer announced her tour plans in October 2022, calling it “a journey through the musical eras of [her] career (past and present!)” hence the name Eras Tour.’ Swift invited multiple artists to join her as opening acts on the tour, some of which have previously collaborated with her.

Swift has nine special guests for her tour who will be rotated depending on the tour dates. Her guests include Paramore, Beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, Girl in Red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN.

Paramore

Paramore is an American rock band from Tennessee that formed in 2004. Swift and the band’s lead singer, Hayley Williams, have been friends for more than a decade.

Swift brought Williams out during a show for her ‘Speak Now’ tour to sing the band’s song ‘That’s What You Get’ back in 2011. Williams also appeared in Swift’s 2015 music video for ‘Bad Blood.’

The band will accompany Swift for the first two opening nights of the ‘Eras Tour’ in Glendale, Arizona, on March 17 and 18.

Beabadoobee

Beabadoobee is a Filipino-British singer who first gained traction in 2017 when her song ‘Coffee’ gained over 300,000 views on Youtube. According to the singer, Swift introduced herself first at the NME Awards in 2020.

“Taylor Swift came up to me and told me that she loved my performance and loves my music. She said she never skips a song,” Beabadoobee said about their interaction.

Beabadoobee will be opening for Swift for several shows, starting on March 24 and running until April 29, 2023. Her tour dates include locations such as Las Vegas, Nevada, and Houston, Texas.

Phoebe Bridgers

Phoebe Bridgers was once in a band called ‘Sloppy Jane’ before branching out into a solo career with her debut solo album ‘Stranger in the Alps’ in 2017. The singer first collaborated with Swift on her track ‘Nothing New’, which was released on ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ in 2021.

Bridgers will join Swift on stage from May 5 to May 28, including stops in Nashville, Tennessee, and East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Girl in Red

Girl in Red is a Norwegian singer and songwriter who first gained popularity in 2017 with her music on SoundCloud. Since 2018, she has had several successful EPs and a debut studio album.

The singer has spoken about her admiration for the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer before, citing her as one of her biggest musical influences.

“I’m inspired by Taylor Swift on so many levels,” Girl in Red previously told Vulture. “She’s been in this industry so long, gotten the worst that any artist can get when it comes to how the world talks about them, but she still always bounces back with great music.”

Girl in Red will be Swift’s opening act starting on June 2 in Chicago, Illinois until June 24, which is the Minneapolis show in Minnesota.

MUNA

MUNA is an indie pop band consisting of members Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin, and Naomi McPherson. The trio met at the University of Southern California before releasing their debut EP, ‘More Perfect’ on Bandcamp and Soundcloud in 2014.

Swift has praised the band before, and in 2020, she included their song ‘Number One Fan’ on her playlist celebrating International Women’s Day. More recently, the group covered Swift’s song ‘August’ in 2020 which they included on their EP ‘Live at Electric Lady.’

MUNA will play several shows throughout April, June, and July and their final opening act will take place at the Denver, Colorado concert.

HAIM

Sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim comprise the popular rock band HAIM, which first released music with their 2012 EP ‘Forever.’ The band has collaborated with Swift several times over the years, and their friendship dates back to 2014.

In 2020, an expanded edition of their album ‘Women in Music Pt. III” featured Swift on the track ‘Gasoline.’ They went on to perform the song together at the band’s London show in July 2022.

Swift also features the trio on her 2020 song ‘no body, no crime.’ The band will serve as her opening act for several dates including Seattle, Washington, and Santa Clara, California concerts.

HAIM will also open for Swift on the final nights of her ‘Eras Tour’ in Los Angeles, California.

GAYLE

Taylor Gayle Rutherford, better known by her stage name GAYLE, first released music in 2021 with her ‘ABCDEFU’ single, which quickly went viral on TikTok and Spotify.

The singer first connected with Swift at the Nashville Songwriter Awards, where they were both honored. GAYLE later posted a selfie with Swift with the caption: “I’ve died and come back to life.”

GAYLE will be Swift’s opening act for several dates throughout March, April, May, and again in August.

Gracie Abrams

Gracie Abrams is the daughter of director J.J. Abrams and producer Katie McGrath. She started gaining attention in 2019 when she released her debut single ‘Mean It.’ Following the release of Abrams’ song ‘Rockland,’ Swift showed her support in a TikTok comment, joking she needed “5-7 business days” to recover from the song.

Abrams was also present at Swift’s 32nd birthday celebrations. She will be joining swift for a large portion of her shows from April to August. Her final stop will be the final ‘Eras Tour’ show in the U.S. taking place in Los Angeles.
