When somebody say to you "onegaishimasu", asking you for your help, how should you reply? Will "hai, wakarimash*ta" be ok? | |||

Ace, If the person is saying "onegaishimasu" meaning "Pardon me (but can you help?/ I have a request to tell you.)" then it's appropriate to reply "hai, nan deshou?" meaning "Yes, what is it?" If the person is saying "onegaishimasu" meaning "(I have told you my request so) please do it." then it's appropriate to reply "hai, wakarimash*ta." meaning "Yes, I understand (so you can count on me to do it.)"
