Is gymnast a good trait in Project Zomboid? ›

5 Gymnast. Nimble is one of the most crucial combat skills in Project Zomboid, and one of the hardest skills to level up. While traits that only give skill points are typically less popular, Nimble is important enough to justify the three trait points cost of the Gymnast trait.

West Point is the most difficult spot, with high zombie populations.

To build your Strength in Project Zomboid, you'll need to actively exercise, run, fight zombies with melee weapons, carry heavy weights, and cut down trees. More specifically, doing Strength exercises like push-ups will help you build up this skill.

The longest verified time that a player has survived in the current version? Over eleven months. Worth noting that the eventual cause of his demise was not the zombies, but rather the fact that there was no more food left on the map and farming and hunting haven't been implemented yet.

Some traits can be gained or lost during gameplay, which will depend on the player's activities. Such as the "Overweight" trait, which can be gained if the player reaches a weight above 85, or picked up during character creation and then lost by reaching a weight below 85.

You can gain up to 3 kilos a day. Take extremely underweight as it is easy to get rid of and the only down side is loosing a little fitness.

The Strength attribute of your character is the main element influencing their maximum carry weight.

For example, the gunshots heard, and the helicopter passing overhead are metagame events. Currently, however, the player can't find who fired the gun or where the helicopter went. The dead will still follow the sounds, sometimes passing (or eating) the player, originating from somewhere off-screen.

The Project Zomboid helicopter is a world event that will occur once in every save, by default. On a random day in your world, the helicopter will appear and make a lot of noise as it travels overhead. This noise will attract zombies, potentially causing hordes to migrate as they follow the helicopter around.

Taking the powerful skills Fast Learner, Lucky, and Dextrous are long-term positive traits that massively help a small team of players.

Unemployed. Paradoxical as it may sound, one of the best occupations to give your character in Project Zomboid is none at all. As an unemployed member of society, your character is pretty much a blank slate. You can do whatever you want with them and the eight skill points you're free to spend from the get-go.

This trait increases the chance of finding loot, and reduces the chance of failing repairs. It costs 4 points and can be selected during character creation, but it's not available in multiplayer.
